Nicole Meyer

Nicole Meyer (nee Schuttelaars) - a Dutch citizen, was raised and effected the first 18 years of her educational journey in the multi-cultural and edifying countries of Columbia, Venezuela, Turkey and Singapore. Her admiration for the serenity of the eastern culture began to shape her viewpoint unbecomingly, while she completed her senior years. Nicole concluded her studies, graduating at the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA).

Her love of culture, appreciation for languages and the arts culminated in her studying for a diploma in Hotel Management, in the cold and wintry surrounds of the thriving city of London. Finishing her studies, she left the crowded capital, and set her sights on the prestigious Hilton hotel in Paris.

When most of her colleagues trembled at the mere thought of the demanding intricacies and nuances of the French language and service etiquette, Nicole merely immersed herself in the study of prose, poetry and expressions of the French culture, becoming fluent in her verbal communication skills. Her hunger for travel and continuing desire to learn lead her to Germany. She quickly mastered the austere traditions, language and way of life in Munich.

On a brief sabbatical sojourn, Nicole visited South Africa on holiday. The multi-ethnic way of life and incredible vastness of the big blue African sky, quickened her soul and captivated the astonishing familiarity within.

Nicole returned to the shores of the rainbow nation to take up a position as the Guest Relations Manager for a hotel in the Protea Hotel Group. However the severe schedules and challenging hours of her hotel management career shifted Nicole’s thinking. Being ever broad-minded she altered her pathway, opting for further mentoring and skill-set training within the Southern Sun group. Her shift in positions gave her a different outlook while many of her peers became victims of service industry burn-out.

The seeds of wisdom and tranquillity began to gently awaken Nicole’s life purpose and calling. She explored her options as the true student of philosophy that she is, and sought a career change. Nicole found fulfilment and freedom from strife, in the disciplined study of yoga and holistic massage.

Once qualified as an internationally accredited Yoga instructor, massage therapist, Reiki Master and gifted counsellor, Nicole consolidated her vast Management expertise with her competence and aptitude for people and began her own holistic business.

She saw her business grow exponentially once settled under the beautiful silhouette of Table Mountain, in Cape Town.

It is the amalgamation of her immense proficiency as an astute businesswomen, natural flair for market based solutions and her giftedness as a mother, which give me the considerable benefit and pleasure to have her as my business partner, soul-mate, friend and wife.
